SVHC’s Masters Golf Tournament Raises $57K

BENNINGTON, VT—October 8, 2019—The 26th Annual Masters in the Mountains Golf Tournament on September 6 at the Dorset Field Club in Dorset, VT, hosted 28 teams and raised over $57,000 in proceeds for Southwestern Vermont Health Care (SVHC).

“This year’s Masters in the Mountains Tournament was a tremendous success,” said Leslie Keefe, SVHC’s vice president for corporate development. “We are very grateful for the generous support of our committee members, sponsors, and teams and the positive impact their participation makes in our ability to fulfill our mission of exceptional care.”

The Masters in the Mountains committee leaders included Co-Chairs Paul Kelly, Sr., and Rocco Maggiotto and Co-Chair Emeriti Brian Barefoot and Brian Knight. Committee members included Pat Barnett; Paul Carroccio; Kevin Dailey; Dick Fowler; Paul Kelly, Jr.; and Mike McKenna.

“I have truly enjoyed working with the committee and SVHC staff to make this year’s Masters in the Mountains Tournament a success,” said Committee Co-chair Rocco Maggiotto. “We are all so pleased that the funds raised will be used to extend, even further, the wonderful care the health system provides.”

The event was successful, in part, due to the generous support from sponsors, including Title Sponsors Jerome Construction and Mack Molding and Presenting Sponsors GVH Studio, The Inn at Manchester, Salem Dentistry, and TPW Real Estate.  Nearly 20 supporting sponsors contributed, as well.

The SVHC Foundation’s next signature event, the Jingle Bell scheduled for Saturday, December 7 at the Mount Snow Resort Grand Summit Hotel. The next Masters in the Mountains Golf Tournament is scheduled for September 10, 2020 at the Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown, MA.
