PERSONAL EMERGENCY RESPONSE

Southwestern Vermont Health Care offers a personal emergency response system called Philips Lifeline. A pendant, communicator device, and corresponding service allow seniors to receive help with the push of a button.

Lifeline is one of America's most trusted personal emergency response systems. Lifeline’s Standard Service allows the user to push a button on his or her bracelet or pendant to receive help in his or her home. The system dials an emergency operator, who answers within moments, assesses the situation, and calls the most appropriate responder. Auto Alert, Wireless Communicator, and Go Safe systems provide additional features.

Lifeline is supported by the SVHC Auxiliary. Funding is available to help defray installation costs for those who may have trouble affording it.
