SVMC's ExpressCare Welcomes William Smith, FNP

BENNINGTON, VT—February 24, 2020—Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) is pleased to welcome Family Nurse Practitioner William Smith to SVMC ExpressCare and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Putnam Physicians. 

Smith earned his master’s degree in nursing from The University of Tennessee in 2018. He received his bachelor’s in nursing from the University of Rochester School of Nursing in New York in 2015. He holds a second bachelor’s degree in environmental science from the State University of New York at Brockport. 

Smith has worked as a gastroenterology nurse at the University of Tennessee Medical Center for 2 years and as a registered nurse in the pediatric post-anesthesia care unit at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Tennessee. In addition, Smith is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Open seven days a week—including holidays, except Thanksgiving and Christmas—ExpressCare is a convenient walk-in clinic. No appointment is necessary. ExpressCare offers care for minor illnesses and injuries to patients of all ages. There are two locations. In Bennington, patients may seek care at Suite 111 of the Medical Office Building at 140 Hospital Drive. Northshire ExpressCare is located within the SVMC Northshire Campus at 5957 Main Street, Route 7A in Manchester. For more information, call 802-440-4077.
