SVMC Nurses Gather for Dedication and Celebration

BENNINGTON—May 11, 2021—As a part of activities to celebrate Nurses Week, nurses and leadership from Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, part of Southwestern Vermont Health Care, gathered at 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 11, 2021, in the Memorial Garden on the eastern end of the hospital campus for a nursing celebration. The program included a welcome and invocation; remarks from President and CEO Thomas A. Dee, FACHE, and Trustee Carol Conroy; the recognition of DAISY Award recipients; the dedications of both the Healers' Touch statue and a brick in the garden path to Mary Botter, PhD, RN, former chief nursing officer. The program concluded with a benediction by Rev. Gary Strubel of All Saints Church in Hoosick Falls, NY.
