Cancer Center Nurse Receives DAISY Award

BENNINGTON, VT—June 4, 2024— SVMC honored a Cancer Center nurse with the prestigious DAISY Award, during National Nurses Week in early May.

Kelly Czarnecki, BSN, RN received SVMC’s DAISY Award in May, coinciding with a seven-day recognition and celebration of the health system's incredible team of nurses.

Kelly, who is a nurse in the Dartmouth Cancer Center at SVMC, was nominated by a patient’s family member, who said Czarnecki has shown “compassion, knowledge and the utmost care.” The family member explained that Czarnecki’s kindness calms any anxiety her patients may be feeling and that she “goes above and beyond.”

The DAISY Award is an international recognition program honoring clinical excellence and outstanding compassionate care provided by nurses.
