In much the same way that oxygen is vital to your life, understanding how your lungs are working is vital to helping you be well. Using state-of-the-art testing, SVMC’s Pulmonary Function Laboratory enables your doctor to see how well your lungs are functioning. This information is critical to making a proper diagnosis about your condition and takes you one step closer to breathing easier about your health.

Accredited by The Joint Commission, SVMC’s Pulmonary Function Laboratory offers a variety of testing options for patients with lung diseases such as emphysema, asthma, chronic bronchitis, obstructive or restrictive lung disease, and pneumocystis pneumonia. All testing is performed by trained Registered Respiratory Therapists with results read by a board-certified pulmonologist.
