Southwestern Vermont Health Care (SVHC) will bring its clinical experts to residents of Wilmington and the Deerfield Valley during a region-specific COVID Q & A virtual event 5:30 – 7 p.m. Monday, October 19 on the Zoom platform. Attendees are encouraged to register and submit their questions in advance here.

The events—which are scheduled specifically for each of the five communities the health system serves, including Bennington, the Deerfield Valley, Hoosick Falls, Manchester, and Williamstown—are part of an annual series known as SVHC Today. SVHC’s President and CEO Tom Dee will kick off each of the five events with health system updates, before passing the virtual podium to clinical experts.

The panelists for each session include the hospital’s clinical and infectious disease leaders and a primary care provider from the region. They will answer both pre-submitted and questions that come in during the session. Panelists for the Bennington event include:

Trey Dobson, MD, received his bachelor’s degree in physics from The University of the South in Tennessee, a master’s degree in geology from the University of Wyoming and his medical degree from The University of Tennessee. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of Virginia. He lives in Bennington with his wife and two sons.

Marie George, MD is an infectious disease specialist at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) Infectious Disease and the chair of Antibiotic Stewardship at SVMC. Dr. George is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Peter Park, MD, has worked as a primary care physician at SVMC Deerfield Valley Campus since 1998. He has served as an associate clinical professor in the Rural Family Medicine Rotation at Tufts University School of Medicine and in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Vermont College of Medicine.
