Childbirth Education Class

The childbirth education class offers expectant parents a way to explore the miracle of birth with dignity and confidence. The class teaches the physical and mental skills needed to cope with the discomforts of labor and delivery, as well as the anatomy and physiology of pregnancy, labor and delivery; care of mother and baby in the post partum period; use of medication and anesthesia; role of the support person; a tour of the maternity unit and more. Register during your fourth month of pregnancy to start class during your seventh month. Please note, there is an $80 registration fee, which includes you and one additional support person to attend this class, if you like. Some insurance providers will reimburse the costs. Contact your provider directly to learn more. Some reduced fees are available.

To get to the class, park in parking area F or H as a labeled on this map. Enter through the Main/Emergency Entrance. Follow the hallway until you find a bank of elevators. Take the elevators to the third floor. Take a right out of the elevator and a left at the end of the hall. The classroom will be straight ahead.
