Grateful Patient Gifts

Every day we receive praise from our patients about the care they received from doctors, nurses, volunteers, and other members of the SVHC family. At Southwestern Vermont Health Care, high-quality care and compassion go hand in hand. Our patients and their families often express their gratitude through their kind words or a letter of appreciation recognizing members of the SVHC staff who made a difference when they were most needed.

Many grateful patients also choose to say thank you by making a donation to SVHC. For a grateful patient donation form, click here. Print, fill out, and mail it to SVHC Foundation, Suite 41; Southwestern Vermont Health Care; 100 Hospital Drive; Bennington, VT 05201.

Memorial and honorary gifts

Your gift to SVHC can be a meaningful way to recognize a dedicated caregiver, to honor the memory of a loved one, or to mark a special occasion. If you wish us to notify the individual(s) you are honoring or their family members, please include their names and addresses with your gift.

If you wish to invite friends and family to make memorial contributions to SVHC in lieu of flowers, please include the Foundation address in the obituary:

Each year the Employee Giving Campaign encourages Southwestern Vermont Health Care employees to join together to show support for our health system. We are excited to introduce a unique campaign dedicated specifically to nurses.

The Nurses Giving Circle was created for you. Gifts will be designated for two purposes:

• The Margaret M. Rehm Academic Scholarship for Nursing, generously funded by the family of Margaret Rehm—including Carol Conroy, SVHC Chief Nursing Officer, and matched by David Meiselman, current SVHC Trustee and past Board Chair and his wife, Myra Packman. The fund will provide nursing staff across the care continuum with tuition assistance for academic progression in the pursuit of a BSN or higher degree.

• The SVMC Nurses Fund for Training and Certification will support nurses seeking to advance their clinical skills, proficiency, and knowledge. Academic and technical advancement of our nursing staff enables us to fulfill our mission of providing exceptional care and comfort to our patients.
