Surviving and Thriving Without Tobacco

Dartmouth-Hitchcock and the Norris Cotton Cancer Center is hosting a free virtual event called, "Surviving and Thriving Without Tobacco" at 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 18. Merle L. Myerson, MD, EdD, from the Cardiovascular Department, and Kate McNally, MS, NCTTP, tobacco treatment specialist, will present. Attendees will:

  • Explore how nicotine affects the brain
  • Discover how the body heals when tobacco use is stopped
  • Learn why quitting tobacco is so hard for many people
  • Gain behavior change tips for quitting tobacco
  • Get resources that can help you or someone else quit tobacco products
