SVHC Offers Gentle Yoga for Cancer Survivors

BENNINGTON, VT—September 28, 2017—Southwestern Vermont Health Care will offer a weekly Gentle Yoga class for cancer survivors and members of their support teams through next summer. The hour-long classes are scheduled at 5 p.m. each Monday in Conference Room C of the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center at 100 Hospital Drive in Bennington. There is no charge for participants.

Participants will learn basic balancing postures, breathing, and visualization techniques for relaxation, stress reduction, flexibility, and strength. The class is presented by Ali Wassick and Jane Schaeffer of the Yoga Place in Bennington and is supported by the Cancer Center Patient Resource Fund.
