SVMC Welcomes Paul Donovan, DO, to Orthopedics

BENNINGTON, VT—February 3, 2017—Paul Donovan, DO, has joined the orthopedic practice at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC). Donovan is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and has a certificate of advanced qualification in Sports Medicine. He is also a fellow of the American Board of Emergency Medicine.

Donovan graduated with honors from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and earned a bachelor’s degree in zoology from the University of Vermont. He has worked as a physician in the Emergency Department at SVMC since 2011 and will continue emergency work in addition to serving in the orthopedics practice. Previously, he served as the medical director of the Emergency Department at North Adams Regional Hospital, as well as the medical director of Emergency Services at Heritage Hospital, Tarboro, NC. In addition to his work at SVMC Orthopedics, Donovan is team physician for the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.

SVMC Orthopedics offers preventive and non-surgical treatments, minimally invasive surgery, and surgery for sports injuries, painful joints, and complicated fractures.
