BENNINGTON, VT—September 21, 2015—Anesthesiology Associates of Bennington has announced the appointment of Paul Sikka, MD, PhD.
Sikka received his medical degree from Grant Medical College of the University of Bombay and completed his anesthesiology residency at Yale New Haven Hospital, affiliated with Yale University School of Medicine. He also earned his PhD in Pharmacology from Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport. He has served in positions at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, and University of California, San Francisco.
“I like to be friendly and professional and to explain things so that the patients have a good experience,” Sikka said.
Sikka is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and is the author and editor of three anesthesiology text books, peer reviewed publications, and several book chapters.
In addition to Sikka, Anesthesiology Associates of Bennington includes Drs. Michael Fraley and Michael Tarazi. The practice provides general anesthesia for adults and children, regional anesthesia including the use of ultrasound techniques, obstetric anesthesia, and pain control for procedures conducted at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.
