SVMC Imaging offers service when you need it. Emergency services are always available and many services are available during extended hours and on weekends. Call (802) 447-5541, option 2 to schedule.

Imaging is American College of Radiology (ACR) accredited in breast ultrasound, stereotactic core breast biopsy, ultrasound, CT scan, mammography, MRI, nuclear medicine, and PET/CT. Our registered technologists perform over 55,000 procedures a year and handle every patient with sensitivity and compassion, ensuring that your imaging experience is a positive one. 

At SVMC we’re proud to say that all of our radiologists are board-certified by the American Board of Radiology and technologists are all registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Interpretation of your imaging exam is provided by Radiology Associates of Bennington, Inc. From x-rays, MRI, and fluoroscopy to PET scanning, ultrasound and a 64-slice CT-scanner, we leverage the latest technology to help your physician deliver the most accurate diagnosis possible.

And because we understand that when a health issue arises you want answers fast, we offer extended and weekend hours for many of our services. We offer community-wide scheduling for imaging. That means that no matter how many types of imaging procedures you require, they can all be scheduled with one phone call from your provider. Every effort is made to make the most of your time in our department and to deliver your results promptly to your provider.

Common Questions

Requests for Images

When being referred to another provider, you may access copies of your CT scan, MRI, x-ray, or other exam reports via the Patient Portal. You or your provider may also request a copy of your CT scan, MRI, x-ray, or other images from the Imaging Department.

To request a copy of your images for yourself, on behalf of someone else, or for another provider, follow these directions:

  • Fill out the Release of Information Form completely and fax it to (802) 447-5138
  • Call SVMC Medical Records at (802) 447-5323 to ensure your CD is ready.
  • Images are available for pick up in Medical Records 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday.  Bring a photo ID.

Questions about your Bill

After having imaging services performed you should receive two bills. SVMC will bill you for the technical portion of your exam. Radiology Associates of Bennington, Inc. will bill you for the professional portion of your exam. If you have questions about the technical portion, please call SVMC Billing at 802-447-4500.
