Golf Benefits Southwestern Vermont Health Care

Masters is … a great day of golf benefiting Southwestern Vermont Health Care.

Chittenden Bank -- Vermont's largest full-service bank -- is the Title Sponosr of the 2008 Masters in the Mountains Golf Tournament. The annual benefit event will be Friday, May 30, at the Golf Club at Equinox in Manchester, Vermont.

"We are extremely grateful to Chittenden Bank, which increased its support to Title Sponsor of this annual tournament," said Brian Knight, chair of the SVHC Development and Marketing Committee.

Proceeds from this year's tournament will help modernize preoperative and postoperative surgery. The renovated space will make it easier for the team of caregivers -- surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other health professionals -- to care for patients and family members. Renovations will improve communication, safety, and efficiency.

"Masters in the Mountains is a premier golf event. We are pleased to once again take part in making the tournament a success," said Shelley Colvin, market manager at Chittenden Bank on Main Street in Bennington.

The Title Sponsorship is one of more than a dozen sponsorship opportunities, ranging from $1,500 to $5,000, available to businesses or individuals. Sponsors at all levels are invited to field a team in the trounament.
