Our core group of family practice physicians has extensive training in a wide range of medical disciplines. We care for adults and children and often offer same-day care. We also provide laboratory and on-site X-ray services.

24-Hour Telephone Coverage
If you have a problem that requires immediate attention, call us at 464-5311. During office hours you will reach our staff. When the office is closed, an answering service will quickly relay your message to the physician on call. That physician will speak with you and, depending on the nature of your concern, may plan to meet you at the office, or advise you to go directly to the hospital.
Staff
Robert Tarnas, M.D.
Dr. Tarnas has been a member of our staff since 1996. Before that, he practiced in North Adams, Mass., and in Bennington. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is also certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. His areas of special interest include preventive medicine, trauma care and workplace injuries, pediatrics, dermatology, cardiology, and lung disease.
Peter C. Park, M.D.
Dr. Park is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Dr. Park has special interests in sports medicine and pediatric and adolescent medicine.
Kim Kurak, D.O.
Dr. Kurak is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. She joined the staff after completing her Family Practice Residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Mich. She is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Pediatric Life Support. In addition, she has expertise and training in osteopathic manipulation.
Barbara M. Masley, M.D.
Dr. Masley comes to SVMC from Harvard Vanguard in Boston, Mass., where she practiced medicine for 20 years. She received her medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine in New Jersey and earned her Masters degree from the Department of Pharmacology at Rutgers University. She completed an Internal medicine residency at Rhode Island Hospital. Before coming to SVMC, Dr. Masley was a faculty member at Harvard Medical School.
