SVHC Wellness Connection Offers AARP Driver Safety Course

BENNINGTON — Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) is offering the AARP classroom Driver Safety course on Thursday, Aug. 9, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Join Sheriff Chad Schmidt at SVMC in Conference Room C for this informative, practical course for drivers who are 50 and older.
As we get older, our reflexes and reaction time slow down and many of us experience losses in the sharpness of our hearing and sight. In this course, you’ll learn ways to improve your driving skills and how you can avoid accidents and traffic violations. Participants must attend the full four-hour course to be awarded a certificate.
Register by calling (802) 442-4900 or visit for more details. There is a $10 fee for each person, payable to AARP.
