Get out the Grill and Eat Healthy!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
BENNINGTON — Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) will offer two Grilling for Health classes in July. The first will be on Thursday, July 19, on the patio at SVMC at 100 Hospital Dr. in Bennington and the second will be on Thursday, July 26, at the Village Ambulance location at 30 Water St. in Williamstown, Mass.
At each grilling session you’ll learn how to grill an entire healthy meal and get to enjoy the results of your work. The July 19 class will be led by SVMC Chef Laura LaCroix, known for her easy-to-fix but tasty recipes. On July 26, SVMC Chef Chris Dargie will bring a different tasty menu to the Williamstown class.
You’ll learn about creating marinades from on-hand ingredients and how to tell when food on the grill is properly cooked. Plus, you’ll explore many food options for grilling beyond the hamburger and hot dog, including savory appetizers and sweet desserts.
Register early, because these classes fill quickly. Register at svhealthcare.org/events/detail or call (802) 447-5076 for more details. There is a $10 fee for each person for each class, to help cover the costs of food.
