Wells Fargo is Masters in the Mountains Lead Sponsor

BENNINGTON – Wells Fargo Institutional Retirement and Trust is returning as lead sponsor of Southwestern Vermont Health Care’s (SVHC) Masters in the Mountains Golf Tournament for the second consecutive year. The tournament will be held on Friday, June 8, at the Golf Club at Equinox.

Tournament co-chairs are Dr. Michael E. Brady, chairman of SVHC’s board of trustees, and Dr. Terry Coffield from Radiology Associates of Bennington. Proceeds from this year’s tournament will be used to enhance patient rooms at the health system’s Centers for Living & Rehabilitation (CLR).

“All of us at Southwestern Vermont Health Care and our communities greatly appreciate Wells Fargo assuming the lead sponsor role for the Masters in the Mountains Golf Tournament for the second year in a row,” said Dr. Brady.

“Masters in the Mountains continues to grow in its popularity. It truly is a special day for supporters of the health system and we know such an event would not be possible without the continuing generosity of Wells Fargo Institutional Retirement and Trust.”

“The tournament is really becoming the one to play in, in our area,” added Dr. Coffield. “We are certainly pleased to have Wells Fargo as part of that success as lead sponsor for a second year.”

The CLR provides a home for people who can no longer live on their own or who need a comfortable place to heal after surgery, an accident, or illness. The CLR is accredited by the Joint Commission and is the winner of three Vermont State Quality Awards. The care team includes highly-trained medical professionals who work with patients and their families to develop an individualized treatment plan. These plans can include personalized programs for Alzheimer's and other memory disorders as well as daily rehabilitation sessions.

“We’re pleased to once again serve as lead sponsor for the Masters in the Mountains Golf Tournament,” said George Braden, New England regional director for Wells Fargo Institutional Retirement and Trust. “Wells Fargo has always recognized the need to support community institutions that make a significant difference in people’s lives. It’s our privilege to partner with Southwestern Vermont Health Care and to support the important work of the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation.”

Sponsorship and foursome packages for the tournament include greens fees for four, use of a golf cart, complimentary gift bag, continental breakfast, lunch buffet, and awards barbecue following the tournament. Play is limited to the first 50 teams registered.
