BENNINGTON — Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) will present a free presentation, “Prepare Your Child for Summer Camp,” on Tuesday, June 7, with three of SVMC’s Physicians: Surgeon Simon Drew of SVMC General Surgery; Pediatrician Lynn Mann of SVMC Pediatrics; and Emergency Room Physician Janel Kittredge. Join all three, who also happen to be parents, that evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Conference Room C on the second floor of the hospital.
Any parent knows that making the right choice for summer camp for a child is only half the equation. Once you decide on a camp, how do you help to keep them safe when they go to camp? Whether your child is going to summer camp for the first or tenth time, a million things can run through your mind as a parent.
Come hear recommendations for your child’s safety and well-being while at summer camp. No matter if you’re choosing an overnight camp in another state or a week-long camp right down the road, these tips can help give you and your child peace of mind.
Bring a list of your questions and join SVMC for a night of parent-to-parent interaction. To register by June 6, go to svhealthcare.org. To find out more about this presentation, call (802) 447-5076.
