Play it Safe - Get the Flu Vaccine
BENNINGTON – It’s that time of year again – the weather is getting colder, the days are getting shorter, and the threat of the flu hangs in the air. Southwestern Vermont Health Care (SVHC) is again offering community flu vaccine clinics in southern Vermont. Please be advised that only the seasonal influenza vaccine will be administered.
Flu vaccine clinics in Bennington will be held at the Second Congregational Church on Hillside St. The dates and times are as follows:
- Wednesday, October 14, noon to 3 p.m.
- Friday, October 16, noon to 3 p.m.
- Monday, October 19, 3 to 6 p.m.
- Wednesday, October 21, noon to 3 p.m.
No appointment is necessary.
With 24-hour notice, the Green Mountain Express bus service will pick up and drop off individuals at the Second Congregational Church for the above clinics. Call (802) 447-0477 for more information.
Deerfield Valley flu vaccine clinics will be held at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) Deerfield Valley Campus on Route 100 in Wilmington on two Saturdays, October 10 and October 24, from 9 a.m. to noon. First come-first served. Call (802) 464-5311 for more information.

The cost of the flu vaccine is $25 and is covered by Medicare Part B. Health insurance is accepted at the Deerfield Valley and Manchester locations. Recipients must be at least 18-years-old. For updated information, call the Flu Clinic Hotline at (802) 447-5559.
