New General Surgeon Comes to SVMC
BENNINGTON — Surgeon Graham J. Moore recognized the value of practicing medicine in the community where he lives. “Coming to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) offers me the opportunity to work with and provide cutting-edge healthcare to the people I meet and see everyday.”
Dr. Moore received his medical degree from Albany Medical College. He completed his general surgery residency at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C., where he was chief surgery resident.
“During medical school,” added Dr. Moore, “surgery became my first choice for a career. As a surgeon, I form relationships with my patients, diagnose their illnesses, and directly use my skills to enhance their health. For me, it is a perfect fit.”
Dr. Moore also appreciates the atmosphere at SVMC. “I feel I can deliver more personal care in the less-harried environment of a hospital like SVMC. I am confident my patients are being treated by the best physicians using the most up-to-date technology. And the staff and other medical providers have all been supportive, warm and interested in my own success as a doctor.”
The pace and lack of congestion in Bennington also offers a certain appeal. “It is important to me to have balance in my life. Bennington’s natural beauty and culture make it the perfect place to raise a family.”
Dr. Moore’s wife, Elizabeth Warner, is also a general surgeon at SVMC. Together, they have two preschool children, a boy, Jackson, and a daughter, Chloe.
Dr. Moore’s office is located in Suite 203 of the Medical Office Building at 140 Hospital Drive in Bennington. To make an appointment, call (802) 442-3800.
