BENNINGTON - Teenagers need a safe place to identify and share the difficulties and confusion associated with loss and grief. VNA & Hospice will host a Teens in Focus Grief Support Group to meet that need.
The confidential support group meets 10 consecutive weeks, starting Sept. 6 at 5 pm. Participants use photography and expressive arts to provide mutual support in a safe environment.
The group will meet at the offices of VNA and Hospice, 160 Benmont Ave. Bereavement Counselor Beth Newman, LMFT, ATR-BC, facilitates the group. To learn more, contact Mary Pleasant, bereavement coordinator, at (802) 442-5502.
VNA & Hospice of Southwestern Vermont Health Care makes about 30,000 home visits each year to residents of Bennington, North Bennington, Pownal, Shaftsbury, and Woodford. In addition to offering home nursing, high-tech care, and rehabilitative therapy, among other services, the agency houses Bennington's only full-service, Medicare-certified hospice program.
