Help Stop the $16 Million Tax on Hospitals
It's True! The State of Vermont wants to tax hospitals $16 million to prop up the 2009 state budget.
For Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, that will mean a loss of $1.2 million. When hospital budgets are as tight as they are nowadays, that can only mean three things: higher health care costs, fewer services, or job cuts.
Help SVMC and other hospitals tell the state No!
Send a message to your legislators.
Tell them:
-
Don't balance the budget on the backs of patients, hospitals, and doctors.
-
Don't force hospitals to raise prices or cut programs or staff.
-
Don't raise my premiums with this hidden tax.
Send your Vermont Legislators an e-mail today!
And stop the $16 million hospital tax.
