BENNINGTON, VT—October 10, 2016— Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) is pleased to welcome Brenda Strysko, DNP, FNP-BC, CNM to the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Putnam Physicians.
Dr. Strysko received her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in 2012 and her post-master’s family nurse practitioner program certificate in 2006, both from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She received a master’s of science in Nursing and Nurse Midwifery from State University of New York at Stonybrook and her bachelor’s in nursing at Anna Vaughn School of Nursing of Oral Roberts University in Oklahoma. Since her most recent graduation, Strysko has worked for Mountain View Medical Clinic in Londonderry, VT. She has specialized in women’s health through several hospital positions, taught at Southern Vermont College and Northwest University in Washington State, and served as an HIV/AIDS educator in Zimbabwe.
SVMC Deerfield Valley Campus’s board-certified physicians are a part of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock health system and have access to more than 1,200 primary and specialty care physicians and state-of-the-art-technology and services.
The practice offers primary care for patients of all ages. The practice is a Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home, as recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance. That means that the practice provides a number of preventive health services—including a diabetic educator, registered dietician, mental health counseling, a substance abuse counselor, and a nurse case manager—all in one place. In addition to these services, the practice offers blood draw and X-ray on site.
