BENNINGTON, VT—October 19, 2016—For patient convenience, Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) will offer screening mammograms 8 a.m. – noon on Saturday, November 5 at SVMC Women’s Imaging Center, suite 206 of the Medical Office Building located at 140 Hospital Drive in Bennington.
Although the day is open to any woman with a referral from her primary care physician or OB/Gyn, the Women’s Imaging team would like to especially invite women who have never had a mammogram before. Women who are over 40 years old are encouraged to attend. Once you’ve obtained a referral, call 802-447-5541 ext. 2 to schedule.
Anyone needing financial assistance, those who are uninsured or who have prohibitively high deductibles, may apply for funding though a Komen for the Cure VT-NH grant. For more information, call 802-440-4244.
SVMC’s Breast Health Navigator and a representative from Ladies First—a Vermont Department of Health program that helps eligible women get breast, cervical and heart health screenings—will be on hand to answer questions and share helpful resources.
