BENNINGTON, VTApril 5, 2015 Southwestern Vermont Health Care (SVHC) has been named by Becker's Healthcare—publisher of Becker’s Hospital Review, one of the industry’s most influential sources of news for hospital leaders—to the 2016 list of "150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare.”
The list features both U.S. healthcare provider organizations and other types of healthcare-specific companies. It has been published every year since 2011. It is free to nominate, and organizations cannot pay for inclusion on this list.
In February, SVHC’s President and Chief Executive Officer Thomas A. Dee, FACHE, was recognized in the publication’s list of 50 Rural Hospital CEOs to Know. Through an independent review, this list identifies executives who have demonstrated dedication to providing access to high-quality care, participation on rural healthcare committees and boards, regional and national leadership positions, regional or national recognition for their efforts, and excellent organizational performance.
The editors of Becker’s consider nominations for the Great Places to Work in Healthcare list based on several factors, including whether the organization has received national, state, or local recognition for workplace excellence; benefits offerings; wellness initiatives; and efforts to improve professional development, diversity and inclusion, work-life balance, and a sense of community among employees.
In addition to the 150 Great Places to Work recognition, Southwestern Vermont Health Care has been named by Vermont Business Magazine and the Vermont Chamber of Commerce as one of Vermont’s Best Places to Work for two years in a row.
Becker's Hospital Review is a monthly publication offering up-to-date business and legal news and analysis relating to hospitals and health systems. Each issue reaches more than 18,000 hospital leaders. The Becker’s complete list can be viewed at http://bit.ly/1OZ1UGZ.
