BENNINGTON, VT – July 28, 2015 – Nicole Strout, FNP, has joined the orthopedics practice at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC). Strout is a graduate of Walden University, Minneapolis and is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Prior to joining SVMC, Nicole worked in Pittsburgh as an orthopedic nurse. She gained valuable experience working with trauma and sports-related injuries and decided to pursue her advanced practitioner degree and specialize in orthopedics. Her clinical interests include joint pain, sports related injuries, and orthopedic trauma.
“My interest in orthopedics comes out of a love for sports. I love helping athletes prevent and repair injuries,” Strout said. “I really like to take a proactive approach. I encourage patients to be as involved in their care as they can be.”
SVMC Orthopaedics offers a range of orthopedic care, including non-surgical care for strained or painful joints; surgeries for joint replacement, back pain, spine issues, frozen shoulders; and foot, ankle, elbow, wrist, and hand surgery.
