Marketing & Community Relations Director, Community Relations, Full Time

Responsibilities:
The Communications Director is responsible for the production of all internal and external communications. Interfaces with trustees, senior management, department and product line managers, and medical staff to proactively identify opportunities to tell SVHC’s story. Conducts market and public perception research. Develops and execution of SVHC’s integrated marketing and public relations plan, using a variety of media and tactics to accomplish this end. Oversees the marketing and public relations specialist and the graphic design and marketing specialist. Provides writing and public relations support to the SVHC Foundation.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in public relations, marketing, business administration or related field required. Master’s degree desirable. • Five or more years of experience in marketing, public relations or related field required. • Demonstrated experience in crisis communications. • Demonstrated proficiency in public speaking, writing and the use of social media • Experience managing employees required. • Experience managing internal and external designers, writers and website developers preferred. • Understanding and experience with the legislative process highly desirable. • Proficiency with a wide range of software, including Microsoft office suite, photoshop, adobe acrobat, desktop publishing, video editing software, website content management systems, and social media websites. • Experience working with a not-for-profit board preferred. • Prior experience in a health care environment highly desired. • Familiarity with Incident Command crisis management system preferred. • Valid driver's license required.
