Charity Care at SVHC
From its very beginning, SVHC has provided care for community members regardless of their ability to pay. Even today, SVHC has generous policies for providing free care or reduced-cost care to those who need it.
The policy extends to anyone who earns less than 200 percent of the federal poverty guidelines, has no medical insurance, and limited personal assets. Even when someone does not qualify for charity care, SVHC works with people of limited means to help them with their medical bills.
In fiscal year 2006, SVHC provided $1,305,013 in charity care.
